Employees can be given permission to request time off online. When an employee requests time off, you will be able to see if a time-off request conflicts with any previously scheduled shifts and accept or deny the request. If you approve the request, the employee's schedule will be updated automatically. Employees are notified of any time-off approvals or denials upon login.
Employees can also be given permission to submit schedule requests online. Requests can be to cover open shifts, request additional hours or overtime, or to communicate changes in availability. ScheduleAnywhere automatically notifies the appropriate manager by email when an employee makes a request. Log in to view a request and make any necessary schedule adjustments. Cover requests are used by an employee to ask another employee to work for them on a particular day. You will only receive a cover request when one employee agrees to work for another employee. Before approving a cover request, you'll see if the person covering exceeds their desired number of hours in a workweek or if there's enough time off between workdays. If you choose to approve the cover request, the schedule will be updated automatically and both employees will be notified.
Swap requests are another type of schedule request. They are used by an employee to ask another employee to switch work days with them. For employees to be eligible to swap days, both employees must have shifts scheduled and no time off scheduled. Before approving a swap request, you'll see if either person exceeds their desired number of hours in a workweek or if there's enough time off between workdays. If you choose to approve the swap request, the schedule will be updated automatically and both employees will be notified.
