Library System Implements Staff Scheduling Software
GCPL streamlines library scheduling with ScheduleAnywhere
Fargo, N.D. (July 24, 2019) – Atlas Business Solutions, Inc. announced that the Geauga County Public Library (GCPL) has implemented ScheduleAnywhere as its staff scheduling solution. The library system operates seven branch locations across Geauga County, Ohio. ScheduleAnywhere online employee scheduling software makes it possible for GCPL to share schedules between each location, as well as its administrative center and mobile services fleet.
ScheduleAnywhere replaces GCPL’s paper scheduling method and gives administrators and employees access to real-time schedules from any computer or mobile device.
“Many of our staff members work part-time, with a rotating schedule. This made it hard to pinpoint who was working at each location,” said Christine Reda, GCPL’s human resources coordinator. “ScheduleAnywhere gives us the ability to view the schedules from every location and see which employees are working in each department on any given day.”
With ScheduleAnywhere, employees can appear on multiple schedules, and managers can share employee schedules between departments and locations. This prevents scheduling conflicts such as overlapping shifts, double-booking employees and inadequate service point coverage.
“Managers can see if someone from another location is available to cover an open shift,” said Reda. “And if an employee needs to swap or cover a shift, they can easily see who is available via the mobile app and submit schedule requests online.”
Coverage can be monitored by skill, position, shift, service point or location. Administrators can assign tasks to each shift, enter staffing requirements and adjust staffing levels. Additionally, ScheduleAnywhere tracks attributes such as certifications and allows managers to communicate with individuals, or a select group of employees, to fill open shifts with qualified personnel.
ScheduleAnywhere is online employee scheduling software developed by Atlas Business Solutions. This Software as a Service (SaaS) works for any business that schedules shifts, including public safety, healthcare, energy, government, retail and business services.
The software ensures proper shift coverage, eliminates scheduling conflicts, estimates payroll costs, tracks certifications and training, and manages shift rotations, staff availability, overtime and time-off requests. Free trial accounts are available, and pricing is based on the number of employees scheduled.
